Why Do I Teach?

I want to show just how easy and safe it is to start painting with oils.

My goal is to create a calming, immersive experience where you can lose yourself in the process, with me guiding you step by step.

The Studio Experience

Lessons take place in a warm and cosy setting at Robert Longford Photography Studio in Cowes, Isle of Wight, UK – a relaxed space where creativity flows. Oh, and there’s parking right out front!

Lesson Types

Beginner’s Oil Painting Lesson – £45 per person

• A 90-minute guided session walking you through the process of creating your own oil painting. (Lessons often run a little over, so please allow up to 2 hours.)

• Max 3 people per lesson – small groups for a more personal experience.

• All materials provided (including aprons!), but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.

• Here’s a materials list of the supplies I use daily in my own studio.

• Want something tailored to your needs? Just ask – I’m happy to customise lessons!

Continued Lessons – £40 per person

• After your first session, if you’d like to explore oil painting further, you’re welcome to continue with additional lessons at a reduced rate.
